MAYTAG POWER HAMMER

In hopes that the Maytag reliabilty comes with naming something after it! The photo you are viewing is my first attempt at building a power hammer. It's power plant is off of my wife's old Maytag. Why I want one is simple. Status! I've got my own power hammer....no really it stems from 2 things laziness and fear of developing "rodent wrist" from hammering to much. Though it's not much to look at it does save me some time and the really cool thing is it makes a lot of noise. This becomes a problem when it's too late to be working in the shop and you have neighbors that wish you would take up some other hobby...say basket weaving or sleep therapy.
