Making More Than 1

In this commissioned barstool project, I came face to face with having to make 2 things identical. While this shouldn't be a problem for a seasoned metal worker such as myself, I found that the material sometimes developes a mind of its own.....not necessarily doing what you want it to do. This reminded me of how awesome it is to work in a medium which does not follow the cause and effect rules. I pondered on how comfortable the lattice seat would be during the design phase and was shocked to find out that it wasn't to bad. The last thing I wanted was to build a decent looking bar stool only later to have it deemed "a mother-in-law" chair. I especially was fond of the front leg design. I've wanted to incorporate this style for some time. Enjoy!
