The Family Tree

This commissioned work has definately been the most satisfying piece to date. It's an interior piece that will stand when finished 11 feet tall and includes a hoot owl hole and a few hundred feet of hand formed branches and leaves. Throughout the process I just kept thinking "man it's gonna be over soon". Of course after 20 + hours of hand forming the tree trunk on the shot bag I started thinking "I sure hope I finish this soon, before my arm falls off". But in the end I was satisfied with the piece and was saddened to see it leave it's birthplace.
